In 2022, I was interviewed for a documentary to talk about how a Tennessee community uses JustServe.org to build unity through service.

I was born and raised in a small town in Arizona. Growing up as the oldest of six children, my parents taught me at a young age how to be an example and a leader. My extended family was highly involved in helping others. Most of the time in secret. It brought our family so much joy, so we always looked forward to finding opportunities to serve.
As an adult, I moved to Tennessee and married the love of my life. We now have six amazing children. I focused on raising my children, but after the youngest started school, I had the opportunity to serve in my community by introducing a volunteer website to my community. The success I had working with these organizations spread quickly until even state leaders were interested in this website and the potential to help more people.
For the past 12 years, I have developed and optimized content, including graphic design, video editing, and copywriting for various social media platforms. I used those platforms to promote hundreds of organizations, their success stories, and their volunteer opportunities, focusing on awareness and increasing traffic. This work has ignited a passion in me to help others share their stories to make an impact on their communities.
Skills
Through serving my community and the state of Tennessee, I was able to acquire some valuable skills and decided to go back to school to further develop those skills.

Currently, I work as the Marketing Director for the Franklin County Prevention Coalition. I am still active in my community and continue to use the skills I have learned to make a difference. I believe when we have talents or acquire skills, we should always look to lift and help others. Education is a continual process throughout our lives and is a gift we can all both receive and give. Anyone can make a difference.
